Some great advice from your teachers...

Name:  Ms. Youngman

What College/University did you graduate from? Florida State University
What was your major? Psychology
What’s the highest degree you’ve obtained?
Masters of Science in Organizational Psychology at the University of Limerick (Ireland)
How did you decide to go to the school that you did?  (Please focus on your Bachelor’s degree)
Partially the price (I received the most scholarships) and they have an excellent study abroad program.  Also the campus is absolutely beautiful.
Did you apply for a lot of scholarships?  If so…how did you find them?
Yes!  Bright Futures (Counselors), did a lot of google searches, and received a scholarship from FSU as a freshman for academic achievement.
What did you do to prepare for college?
I took a lot of AP/IB classes (and received my IB Diploma)  I took both the SAT and ACT (just used a study guide), and spent a lot of time researching schools and their programs.
What advice do you have for our students when thinking about colleges?
Find the school that is the best fit for you (in terms of money, academic program, etc.) don’t just go where your friends want to go.
What was your college life like besides school work?
So much fun!  I regularly went to football games, explored the area surrounding Tallahassee with my friends and I ended up starting a club sports team for Eventing (horseback riding )

The goal of this page is to provide places for you to go to get scholarship  and college information, as well as create goals for yourself. As I find links or individual scholarships, I will post them here for you to use as you see fit. If you find a scholarship that you would like to share, please send it to me for inclusion on this page.
